An official settlement has been announced in the town of Jadidah Artaaz in the Damascus countryside following incidents of tension and fighting that escalated to gunfire. A session was held at Al-Rahman Mosque in the presence of tribal leaders and the district director, and the discussion resulted in the formation of a committee to follow up on the circumstances of the incident and address its repercussions. The assembled parties emphasized the necessity of holding those involved accountable according to the rule of law, while rejecting any interpretation of the incident as an interregional or social conflict. They stressed the importance of rejecting division and violence. The area experienced unrest after a fight between local residents and young men from Deir Ezzor, before security forces intervened and deployed extensive security measures to ensure stability.
