Inspiration Ahmed: Issues Persist amid Syria Ties
Ilham Ahmed, former head of external relations in the autonomous administration, points out that many unresolved issues, such as protecting the Kurdish language and securing the constitutional rights of the Kurds, remain under discussion despite their integration with the Syrian government. She emphasizes that the completion of the integration process does not resolve all problems, highlighting key files such as the integration of the Women’s Protection Units, prisoners and detainees, and the return of displaced people from Ras al-Ain, which will be the top priorities in the upcoming phase. The issue of changing the name of the republic within the constitution was also discussed. She indicated that the return of the displaced will be organized, with Kurds maintaining the gains they previously achieved.
