The United Nations announced the death of 9 people, including 6 children, and the injury of 13 others due to explosions of remnants of war in Syria over the past week. These incidents, which include 12 events across 6 areas, resulted from exploding unexploded ordnance, with most of them occurring in Raqqa and Daraa. One landmine explosion in particular killed five children and injured three others. The organization emphasized the importance of removing unexploded bombs, increasing awareness of their dangers, and providing aid to the victims to ensure the protection of civilians and their safe return to their homes.
