The Alternative for Germany (AfD) party has won the Saxony-Anhalt state election, and the party plans to implement a government program that includes tightening immigration and deportation policies, increasing detention facilities, accelerating deportation processes, reducing immigration, and reviewing asylum laws. The program also encompasses broad changes in education, such as establishing dedicated classes for children with temporary residence permits, promoting German national identity in school curricula, and reforming educational laws. Additionally, the party pledges to provide financial support for obtaining driver's licenses, improve childcare and school services, reduce funding for cultural and media institutions, and direct support toward strengthening national identity. The AfD also calls for an energy policy shift to support businesses and reduce restrictions, and advocates ending the special protection status for Ukrainians in Saxony and relocating them, while maintaining Russian language education and exchange programs with Russia. The party's success depends on its ability to shape the government and implement these programs, especially since some policies require federal or European approval.
