The Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of Sobhi Nenal and his son Shadi, after their involvement in espionage activities for the Assad regime's security agencies. Investigations revealed that they gathered information and coordinates about military and civilian sites in Idlib and Aleppo using clandestine technical equipment, which they then transmitted to the Syrian side. This led to targeted strikes against those sites, causing material and human losses. Confirmation of their involvement comes as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle espionage networks connected to the Assad regime that have been active in northern Syria for years, according to data from the judiciary and security agencies.
