The Israeli government denied the report by the "Haaretz" newspaper claiming that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received warnings from the UAE agency about an imminent Palestinian attack before October 7, 2023. The office confirmed that Netanyahu did not receive any warnings from the UAE or others and that he ignored warnings from Egyptian and Israeli officials regarding the possibility of a Hamas attack. This is considered to be responsible for the failure that led to the October 7 massacre, which resulted in over 73,000 deaths in Gaza. Internal and external criticism continues to mount over the political and security failures that led to a significant escalation in the conflict.
