The International Investigation Committee's report on Syria confirmed the continued serious violations of human rights and ongoing conflicts, despite progress in the political transition process. It noted that more than 1.7 million refugees have returned to the country, while around two million internally displaced persons remain inside Syria. The report also highlighted violations linked to Israeli operations in the southern parts of the country, which may amount to war crimes. The committee called for holding those responsible accountable, amending sanctions laws, and strengthening efforts to combat torture, as well as documenting cases of death and mistreatment in detention centers. Additionally, violations continue in northeastern Syria, particularly affecting civilians and individuals associated with ISIS.
