A trial has begun in Düsseldorf, Germany, for three men accused of attempting to assassinate a taxi passenger. They fired ten bullets at him, hitting him seven times, but he survived after emergency surgery. According to investigations, the victim was targeted due to his connection to a family considered one of the most prominent drug traffickers in Europe. It is believed that the attack is linked to a conflict between criminal groups, including a group known as the Daltons, who have Turkish roots. A 39-year-old Syrian and a 22-year-old Turkish suspect have been arrested; authorities found firearms in their homes. Investigations are ongoing with a fourth suspect, aged 26. The trial is expected to continue until the end of 2026, amidst heightened security measures due to threats, and no verdicts have been issued yet.
