A hostage situation occurred in the Turkish city of Izmir at a bank branch in the Karabaglar area. A 25-year-old young man entered the branch, seized the security guard's weapon, and then took five employees hostage. Security forces managed to negotiate with him and convinced him to surrender, resulting in the safe release of all hostages without any injuries. Initial investigations revealed that the attacker was a former chef with a prior record linked to psychiatric treatment or psychological counseling. The public prosecutor's office is continuing to investigate the circumstances and motives of the incident.
