Woman murdered with 19 stab wounds in Germany; ex-partner detained in Poland
A 42-year-old Polish man has been detained in Poland on suspicion of committing the murder of a 35-year-old woman in the city of Marburg, Germany. The victim was found murdered after sustaining 19 stab wounds. She had a previous romantic relationship with the suspect, but her current residence in a women’s shelter was due to a relationship with another former partner, not the suspect. An European arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect, and arrangements are underway for his extradition to Germany. The motive behind the crime remains unknown.
