The second phase of an international Level One course to develop athletics coaches has opened in Syria, with 39 men and women participating from across the governorates. The course is supervised by international lecturers and held in cooperation with World Athletics and the Development Center in Cairo. It began on October 10 with seven days of online lectures. The program runs for around 12 days and combines theoretical lessons in sports physiology, anatomy, coaching and planning with practical sessions and tests. The course aims to strengthen coaches’ skills and prepare them to train young athletes and identify talent. Those who pass Level One may progress to Level Two.
