The National Mourned Persons' Committee announced that verified results have been obtained indicating the deaths of Dr. Rania Al-Abbasi's children following thorough investigative procedures and meticulous analysis. They confirmed that these findings are part of their ongoing efforts to uncover the fate of the missing in Syria, while respecting the family's privacy. The case remains under review. The issue dates back to the arrest of Rania Al-Abbasi, a Syrian chess champion, along with her children in 2013. Her husband was later killed, and the whereabouts of her children remain unknown to this day.
