Irrigation begins at Tel Hosh Dam

The Water Resources Department in Homs, in cooperation with other entities, has started to pump irrigation water from Taal Hosh Dam to supply approximately 6,000 hectares of diverse agricultural land. This step is part of a plan to support the current planting season and ensure the water needs of strategic crops, aiming to strengthen food security and local production. Technical committees oversee the distribution of water to ensure it reaches farmers fairly and in accordance with requirements. Additionally, irrigation networks are being maintained to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
