Government bank embezzlement investigation

Financial embezzlement has been uncovered at a government bank by the Central Inspection and Oversight Authority. An investigation revealed manipulation and forgery of documents leading to unauthorized withdrawals by an employee, with the cooperation of other staff members. The employee has been dismissed, their assets seized, and they are prohibited from traveling. Legal measures for compensation have been taken, along with criminal and administrative actions against those involved. It is worth noting that the authority also uncovered two corruption cases involving total embezzlements amounting to approximately $764,000 at the Savings Bank, through illegal transfer operations and abuse of office. Additionally, there is a plan in place to strengthen integrity and transparency within public sector institutions.
