Justice for Rania Al-Abbasi and family

The National Commission for Transitional Justice in Syria is working to uncover the truth and hold accountable those responsible for the crimes of the fallen regime, foremost among them the case of Dr. Rania Al-Abbasi and her six children, which is considered one of the most prominent human rights issues in the record of violations. The Commission confirmed that accountability includes all who ordered, incited, participated in, or facilitated the commission of the crime, and that the process aims to achieve justice, prevent the recurrence of violations, and reinforce the rule of law. Since the liberation of Syria in December 2024, efforts to strengthen the transitional justice process have been increased, and an independent body has been established for this purpose.
