German court denies refugee lawsuit
The Administrative Court in the city of Aachen rejected a Syrian refugee's lawsuit against the decision to revoke his refugee status, pointing out that the political changes in Syria following the fall of the Assad regime reduce the risk of political persecution in his case. At the same time, the man is facing criminal charges of participating in the rape of a 17-year-old girl in the Heinsberg area. He is currently in custody for investigation and has previously been convicted in other cases.
