Euphrates Dam transfers decline
The Euphrates Dam personnel decreased the water flows by 100 cubic meters per second through a partial closure of Spillway Gate No. 3, bringing the total flow to approximately 1,100 cubic meters per second, due to declining water inflows coming from Turkey. The Ministry of Energy confirmed that the technical teams are continuously monitoring the water situation and are preparing to take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of water facilities and the stability of the Euphrates River. This comes after water levels rose in the Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa areas following the opening of dam gates to maintain the system's readiness amid increased water flow from Turkish territories, which caused damage to agricultural lands and water stations.
