New customs rules for Syrian airports
The Syrian Customs Authorities have issued a guidance manual regulating the entry and departure of travelers at airports. It clarifies the permitted and prohibited items, along with specific regulations concerning gold, foreign currencies, electronics, foodstuffs, and antiquities, aiming to organize movement and facilitate customs procedures. The regulations include bans on bringing in alcohol and removing bullion and gold coins, restrictions on importing and exporting currencies, as well as rules for importing food products and medicines. It is noted that these laws are subject to updates by the competent authorities.
