Lebanese artist Basem Megneya defended Sallouh Fawakhri, affirming that she was subjected to artistic and human injustice. He described her as a "girl of genuine character" and stated that she does not deserve what happened to her after her expulsion from the Syrian Artists Syndicate due to her political stances and her defense of the former regime. He also indicated that Syria's loss of an artist of her stature is unfortunate, emphasizing that his stance is based on his personal knowledge and his appreciation for her artistic and humanitarian career.
