Netanyahu halts Iran strike after Trump contact
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a halt to attacks on Iran after a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump. This comes following an escalation of military activities between the two sides that began on Sunday, which included Israel bombing southern Beirut suburbs and Iran launching rockets. He clarified that Israel is no longer carrying out attacks on Iran, while reaffirming its right to respond strongly to any future Iranian attacks. The ceasefire comes after Israel targeted Hezbollah sites in Lebanon, with Iran responding by firing rockets at Israel. Iran also announced a halt to military operations against Israel after receiving a strong response.
