Syrians ambush youth over woman rumors
The Vienna Criminal Court will examine next week a case involving a violent assault against a Syrian young man. He was attacked last December by a group of people, including two Syrians who are accused of causing serious injuries with sharp tools following a dispute over comments about one of the country's residents. According to the prosecution, the victim suffered broken noses, deep lacerations to the head, and a concussion. The two defendants deny any involvement in the incident and assert that they were not present at the scene when it occurred. The court will hear testimonies from witnesses and the accused to determine responsibility.
