Private sector labor protests expand
The Rif Damascus areas have witnessed a rise in workers' protests within the private sector, beginning with a widespread strike by the employees of the "Zenobia" Company for Health Goods and Ceramics, to voice demands for higher wages and better working conditions. The company's management responded by stating that salaries are in line with labor laws, reaching up to 12,560 Syrian Pounds per month, and that they provide incentives and medical coverage. Despite this, workers from "Madar" continue an open strike, demanding increased wages and improved working environments. There are reports of additional activities aimed at supporting workers in some companies to achieve production stability amid growing pressure to raise wages in the private sector.
