Syrian youth jailed in Germany over plot to target Jews
A 22-year-old Syrian man has been sentenced to five years and four months in prison in Berlin after being convicted of planning a terrorist attack targeting Jews and non-Muslims using a knife and a suicide belt, driven by an extremist motive linked to ISIS. Authorities found materials and tools suspected of being intended for making a bomb, and the defendant's confession indicated that he was influenced by extremist content online and on social media platforms. The sentence is not yet final and can be appealed to higher judicial authorities.
