WhatsApp to launch new Android feature
WhatsApp has introduced a new setup screen for Android tablets, allowing users to choose whether to set up the tablet as the primary device for their account or to connect it as a secondary device linked to an existing phone account. The feature offers two usage modes: Companion Mode, in which the tablet connects to the phone, and Standalone Mode, where the tablet becomes the main device for the account, providing a full experience without limitations such as inability to share location or send messages to broadcast lists. This feature is currently under testing and available to a limited number of beta users.
