Google Maps to Launch New Major Feature
Google is working on a new feature within the Google Maps app that allows users to order food directly through the maps, instead of just suggesting restaurants or showing reviews. This enhancement is based on the capabilities of the smart assistant Gemini, which will enable users to type or speak their orders, and the app will execute the request by selecting restaurants and placing the order on their behalf while on the go. This feature is expected to provide a smoother and smarter experience, but its release is not yet official and may initially be limited to certain markets.
