Leaks indicate that Xiaomi is preparing to launch its foldable phone, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 5, in August 2026, after it appeared in live photos and received regulatory certifications in China. The device is likely to feature a flexible screen measuring between 7.5 and 7.6 inches, equipped with a new technology that reduces creasing, and will be powered by an internal chip developed by Xiaomi called Xring O3, instead of a flagship Qualcomm processor. Additionally, the phone is expected to support a 200-megapixel main camera, have a 6000 mAh battery with wireless charging capabilities, be fully water-resistant, and feature a modern design with HyperOS 4 interfaces based on Android 17. The initial price is estimated at around $1,400, potentially increasing upon broader market release, although Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the announcement date or the final specifications.
