Google Play Store Adds New Features
Google has launched new updates for the Google Play Store and Google Play Services, which include improvements in ease of use and security. Among the new features, there's an option to add the app widget to the home screen during installation, and enhancements to the search bar's ability to better understand queries, along with displaying suggestions within the search box. Additionally, an option has been added to display the IMEI number on the lock screen, aiding in the identification of lost or stolen devices, though this requires user approval and manual activation. The update also includes improvements to support microphone permissions within WebView pages and support for signing in using passwords and passkeys on Android TV devices. These updates are being rolled out gradually and may take some time to reach all devices.
