Sony has launched the new FX5 camera, part of the Cinema Line series, featuring a stacked CMOS sensor and the BIONZ XR2 imaging engine with artificial intelligence to enhance performance. The camera offers a dynamic range of approximately 15 stops and supports S-Log3 mode, along with Triple Base ISO functionality with three sensors (ISO 800, 4000, and 12800), and dual gain technology to reduce noise and increase color gradation. It also supports full sensor readout (Open Gate) recording mode and advanced RAW formats such as X-OCN, equipped with a five-axis optical stabilization system to assist manual shooting. The camera comes with a high-quality touchscreen, an independent cooling system, and offers high-end accessory options like an electronic viewfinder and OLED screen. It will be available in the UAE market starting August 2026, with prices ranging between 18,999 and 20,999 AED.
