A rare version of the "Apple-1" computer has been revealed at an auction, with an initial estimated value of around $300,000, although previous copies have sold for amounts reaching up to $1 million. This particular version, known as the "Neomark Computer," is unique because it was built inside the casing of a Smith Corona typewriter and is fully functional, having been restored by specialist Corey Cohen in June 2026. This edition is distinguished by its limited production, as Apple only made 200 units, and only 92 of those are documented, which adds to its value. The rising worth of these vintage devices reflects an increasing connection to Apple founder Steve Jobs, along with their rarity and authenticity, explaining the high prices at auctions—especially for copies associated with significant historical figures in the tech world.
