The new technology has developed an app for iPhone devices that enables the detection of surrounding smart glasses, including "Meta" glasses and other types, with the aim of protecting privacy and personal security. The app relies on recognizing Bluetooth devices and their specifications to compare unidentified glasses with a database of various models. It is effective in detecting most smart glasses but has difficulty distinguishing between virtual helmets and traditional glasses. The app works best when the glasses are paired with the phone and connected via charging or power-on. It is available for $3 on the Apple App Store.
