Apple has launched the "Apple Upgrade Lease" program, which allows users to rent devices such as iPhones, iPads, Mac computers, and Apple Watch smartwatches through monthly payments, with the option to upgrade to newer models or own the device at the end of the contract term. Lease durations range from 12 to 36 months, with payments starting at approximately $11.99 per device. Exclusions include certain devices and refurbished items. The program aims to boost Apple’s sales amid rising prices caused by a shortage of memory chips. It includes terms that facilitate easy upgrades, with fees applied for early termination or device loss. The device remains the investment of the buyer even after full payment of the final price.
