The U.S. Navy successfully tested the "God Hammer" electronic jamming system off the coast of California during the "Project Convergence Capstone 6" exercise, aiming to disrupt navigation and communication systems in guided weapons and drones. This marks the first time such a system has been used in a maritime environment, relying on jamming signals for positioning and guidance, thus posing a threat to the accuracy of modern weapons and enhancing U.S. electronic warfare capabilities. This test comes as part of efforts to strengthen the military’s ability to counter the increasing threats posed by drones and low-cost munitions, representing a significant step in enabling American forces to operate effectively in electronically congested environments.
