Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro Features
Leaks have revealed the new Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, representing a significant leap in smartphone chip technology. The processor features an improved manufacturing process using 2-nanometer technology from TSMC, with the chip size increased to approximately 134 mm², reflecting the addition of new units and technologies. It includes eight Oryon cores distributed in a 2+3+3 configuration, along with an Adreno 850 GPU that supports AI Frame Fusion technology to enhance gaming performance and energy efficiency, and a large local cache of up to 18MB. The Pro edition is expected to be tailored for luxury smartphones, equipped with advanced AI features and more powerful graphics units, while the standard version will have a less powerful GPU and reduced AI support, along with improvements in memory and energy efficiency. The official unveiling of the processor is scheduled for the Snapdragon Summit in September 2026, with a focus on delivering exceptional performance and cutting-edge features in flagship Android devices.
