Xiaomi launches Android 17 update globally
Xiaomi officially launched the HyperOS 3.3 update, based on Android 17, for a limited number of its phones in global and European markets. This marks the first step toward widely offering the new version. The update includes the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and Xiaomi 15T Pro models, with different deployment methods; it has generally become available for two phones, while a third device receives the update via the Mi Pilot program for testers. Although the update does not feature noticeable visual changes, it focuses on improving system stability, fixing bugs, enhancing data security, and includes the latest security patches. The update size reaches 9.5 GB and is being rolled out gradually. This move paves the way for HyperOS 4, which is expected to bring major improvements and a more advanced interface, aiming to reduce the gap between Apple's announcement of Android updates and their arrival to users.
