Hamad Bin Rashed Al Maktoum Award for Tolerance and the Hamdan bin Rashed Al Maktoum Center for Talent and Innovation team achieved second place at the Hero Award during their participation in the 2026 Asian Open Championship for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in Beijing. This is the highest result ever achieved by an Emirati team in the UAE’s participation in the global FIRST® LEGO® League competitions. This accomplishment followed their victory at the Dubai Championship and their participation in an intensive training program that focused on robot design and programming, project engineering development, as well as administrative and technical empowerment. This success aims to establish the UAE’s position in the field of technological innovation and reflects the team’s excellence in design, technical performance, innovation, and commitment to core values. It also underscores the capability of the national talents to compete internationally within a sophisticated training environment.
