Oppo Reno 18 to Enhance Selfie Photos
Oppo plans to enhance the selfie photography experience on its future smartphones by introducing a square front camera with a 1:1 aspect ratio and 68-megapixel resolution. This feature is expected to be used in the "Oppo Reno 18" series scheduled for release in 2027. These designs offer greater flexibility in capturing photos both vertically and horizontally, making it easier for content creators to reframe images without needing to rotate the phone. It is likely that this technology will debut first in the Reno 18 phone, and there are rumors that Oppo is developing an even more advanced square front camera with 100-megapixel resolution, which might appear in the Find X10 Ultra during the first half of 2027. This move by Oppo reflects a new trend towards changing the shape and sensor of front cameras to improve photo quality and user experience, with the Reno 18 series expected to be among the first devices to adopt this technology.
