Xiaomi phones may not all support Soft Light Glass in HyperOS 4
Xiaomi has released a beta version of its new HyperOS 4 interface, which features a new design called Soft Light Glass. This design is based on transparency, glass effects, and interactive lighting to give the system a more modern appearance. Activating the Soft Light Glass effects requires high hardware capabilities, relying on powerful processors such as Snapdragon 8 Elite, MediaTek Dimensity 9500, or newer. The effect is currently available in the beta version on Xiaomi's new devices, with expectations to be extended to older devices in the future. However, access to all features depends on the hardware capabilities, as updates do not guarantee full availability of all effects due to performance limitations. The system testing is ongoing in China, and the final details regarding the devices that will support it globally are expected to be announced in the future.
