Unprecedented records were achieved by human-like robots at the World Human Robotics Games in Beijing. The Chinese robot "Tianwang Ultra" managed to run 100 meters in 9.39 seconds, faster than the human record set by Usain Bolt in 2009 (9.58 seconds). Another robot set a high jump of 2.88 meters in the high jump competition, surpassing the 1993 world record of 2.45 meters. The event aims to showcase China's advances in robot technology and its continuous development amidst competition with the United States. This raises concerns about the future use of robots as human competitors, especially in military fields. Despite significant technological progress, science is still unable to replicate the design of biological humans. Robots are expected to follow a developmental path similar to aviation and the internet, initially driven by military needs before transitioning to civilian applications.
