Final Summary of SITE 2026 Energy Transition
The fourth edition of the International Energy Transition Salon (SITE 2026) in Tunisia concluded, with participants emphasizing the need to accelerate the implementation of energy transition projects and improve the legislative framework, particularly Law 2015, to boost investments in renewable energy. They recommended simplifying procedures, digitalizing processes, expanding solar programs like "Energy Citizenship," and reducing equipment costs through revision of customs duties. Additionally, they called for updating the electrical grid and developing storage solutions to support sustainability. They also highlighted the importance of enhancing investment financing, developing a comprehensive framework for green hydrogen, strengthening the electric vehicle industry, and achieving energy security. An effective follow-up mechanism should be established to ensure the implementation of these recommendations within a clear and time-bound plan.
