ATPCC Releases New Study on Post-2011 Tunisian Shorts
The article discusses a new publication by the Tunisian Association for the Promotion of Film Criticism (ATPCC) focused on Tunisian short films produced after 2011. The book features sixteen critical analyses of diverse short films from this period, highlighting themes such as societal transformation, individual aspirations, generational conflicts, and experimentation with cinematic genres beyond realism. It aims to preserve and critically assess a marginalized segment of Tunisia’s cinematic history, emphasizing how filmmakers explore new forms to capture social and cultural changes without adhering to a single aesthetic.
