Wall Street Journal: US Eyes Iran Strike
The United States is considering launching military strikes against Iran, including operations that could take place before the upcoming midterm elections in November. The U.S. military is currently preparing by dispatching an aircraft carrier group and an expeditionary unit to the Middle East, along with enhancing its defensive capabilities with additional equipment and munitions. Currently, about 12 American ships are present in the region to enforce a blockade and carry out other missions, including the aircraft carrier "George Washington" and nine destroyers, as part of strengthening the U.S. military presence in the area.
