Projectile hits UAE ship amid Strait tensions
A vessel off the coast of the UAE was struck by an unknown projectile, resulting in a fire. Meanwhile, Iran claimed to have targeted a large gas-carrying ship in the Strait of Hormuz, vowing to pursue all violating vessels in the area. While the United States denies closing the strait and affirms the continuation of international navigation, tensions between Iran and the West are escalating as shipping traffic through the strait has dropped to its lowest levels in months, threatening global oil supplies.
