Tunisian-British Study of Ancient Agriculture
Field research is being conducted by researchers from the National Heritage Institute in collaboration with the University of Cambridge in Tunisia to study the history of ancient agricultural communities between the third and first millennium BC. The goal of the study is to understand the methods of settlement and resource exploitation during that period, focusing on archaeological sites in the regions of Kairouan and El Kef. This is being achieved through geomorphological survey techniques and radiocarbon dating. The results are important for enhancing knowledge about the interaction patterns of ancient communities with their environment, especially given the current limited available information.
