Agriculture Ministry Issues Hail Protection Advice
Tunisian regions are experiencing hailstorms that cause damage to olive trees and fruit crops, such as leaf fall, branch breakage, and fruit destruction. The Ministry of Agriculture advises pruning affected branches and appropriately using copper-based pesticides. They also recommend avoiding interventions during periods of high temperatures and rain. Additionally, they stress the importance of adhering to the designated pre-harvest period to ensure the safety of the trees and reduce the spread of bacterial and fungal diseases.
