Tripoli Floods and Worker Dies from Shock
Heavy rains in Tripoli caused floods that submerged the streets, leading to traffic disruptions and the closure of some roads. Additionally, electricity transformer rooms were flooded, increasing the risk of electrocution. The weather conditions resulted in the death of a bank employee who was electrocuted after being submerged in water. This prompted authorities to attempt water drainage and shut off the electricity supply in affected areas to reduce the danger. The Libyan Red Crescent Society also warned people to stay away from exposed electrical wires and assured that its teams are prepared to provide assistance.
