Voters Reminder for Jan 17 Elections
Today, Tuesday, the issuance of Order Number 256 for the year 2026 was announced, calling upon registered voters in the "Sundus Fumm Al-Khandaqa" polling station in the Tozeur governorate to participate in a partial municipal election scheduled for Sunday, January 17, 2027, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. These elections are organized following a vacancy caused by the withdrawal of a representative from the local council, which occurred on September 27, 2026, after a vote with 52.43% in favor of withdrawal against 47.57% opposed. The petition was submitted by 51 voters in May 2026, based on constitutional laws and electoral rules that establish the procedures for withdrawing a deputy’s mandate. The purpose of this measure is to elect a new deputy to fill the vacancy.
