Istanbuls Heavy Rains Disrupt Schools
In-person education was halted in all schools across Istanbul on Thursday due to heavy rainfall that caused traffic paralysis and rising flood levels. Authorities took measures including leave for individuals with disabilities, pregnant women, and military personnel, along with a ban on motorcycle traffic and advisories for residents to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary. Significant traffic disruptions were reported, along with rescue operations for flood victims, with no officially recorded serious injuries.
