Kerkennah vessel successfully refloated
The ballast operation of the "Al-Muheet" vessel was successfully carried out after it deviated from its course during its journey from Sfax to Kerkennah Island on the night of October 15, which caused it to run aground. The operation was successful, and the vessel returned to its docking location at the Sidi Youssef station in Kerkennah, restoring normal maritime transport activity. The incident drew criticism regarding the condition of the maritime transport fleet between Sfax and Kerkennah, with ongoing demands to improve transportation services and ensure the regularity of trips, in order to protect passengers and meet the needs of the residents.
