Tunisia hosts Mediterranean and Latin American writers
The activities of the "Spanish Studies and Multiculturalism Festival" in Tunisia, taking place from October 25 to November 1, 2026, highlight the relationship between literature and society. Participants will discuss issues of freedom, memory, and linguistic and cultural diversity through literary and poetic performances, seminars on prison literature, poetic experiences, and the role of freedom in creativity. The event aims to emphasize that literature transcends borders and languages, reflecting themes of identity and social representation. It also underscores the importance of cultural and critical exchange between Tunisia, Latin America, and Spain. The program will address the history of the assassination of Spanish poet Federico García Lorca and celebrate poetic experiences from various cultures, viewing literature as a means of dialogue and mutual understanding among different communities.
