Tunisie Telegraph: Washington's Economic Moves in Tunisia
The U.S. government has announced the launch of an annual unconditioned grant program to develop the economy in Tunisia. The program aims to fund strategic projects ranging from $250,000 to $20 million, with the goal of supporting entrepreneurship and achieving cross-city economic development in major urban centers such as Greater Tunis, Sfax, Sousse, and Bizerte. The program focuses on attracting consulting firms and facilitating commercial partnerships between Tunisian and American investors, with strict requirements to qualify participating entities to ensure transparency and credibility. This move aims to enhance direct investment, support technological innovation, and qualify Tunisian talents for integration into global markets, in addition to contributing to reducing unemployment and achieving sustainable growth that promotes a balanced local economy.
